SEO course curriculum · Rebuilt for 2026

The 12-module SEO curriculum, mapped to paid skills.

Every lesson here exists because it produces a paid SEO skill. The curriculum was rebuilt to cover the next 3 to 5 years of search, including Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization, and Large Language Model Optimization. Older lessons that taught padding tactics were cut.

Rambabu Thapa teaching the SEO Mastery curriculum live during a 1-on-1 session at the Orka Socials Lalitpur office.

The SEO Training in Nepal curriculum is a 12-module, 122-lesson program taught in Nepali by Rambabu Thapa, founder of Orka Socials Pvt. Ltd. Modules cover how search works, niche selection, keyword research, content strategy, on-page and semantic SEO, technical SEO, off-page SEO and digital PR, local SEO, AEO/GEO/LLMO for AI search, SEO auditing, measurement and reporting, and SEO career. Of 122 lessons, 22 are newly recorded for 2026 and 7 are updated to reflect current platforms. The full curriculum is delivered in the SEO Mastery Course at the early bird price of NPR 25,000 for the June 1, 2026 cohort.

How it's structured

Three principles behind the module map.

The curriculum was rebuilt in 2026 from a working SEO consultant's perspective, not a textbook author's. Three rules shape the module order.

01

Mental model first, tactics second

Module 01 teaches search as an information-retrieval and trust system. Without that mental model, tactics become guesses. Every later module references the foundations laid in Module 01.

02

Real project from week one

Module 02 sets up a practice project (your site or a niche site). Every assignment in Modules 03 to 12 applies to that project. By graduation you have a documented case study, not a folder of disconnected exercises.

03

2026 search baked in, not bolted on

Entity SEO appears in Module 01. AI search readiness shows up in Modules 04, 05, and 09. Schema and structured data run through 05, 06, and 08. AEO, GEO, and LLMO are not an afterthought, they are Module 09.

Honest exclusions

What's NOT in the curriculum, and why.

27 lessons that appeared in earlier batches were cut. Some moved to onboarding because they were admin items. Most were cut because they teach tactics that no longer move rankings, or they pad lesson counts without adding skill.

Outdated or marginal tactics

  • Exact-match domain (EMD) tricks. Google's algorithm has discounted EMD signals since the 2012 EMD update.
  • W3C code validation. Pages with imperfect HTML rank fine. Spending time chasing W3C validation is not paid SEO work.
  • Text-to-HTML ratio. A vanity metric that does not appear in any documented ranking system.
  • White-hat / grey-hat / black-hat taxonomy. Google does not categorize SEO this way. The framing creates more confusion than clarity.
  • Friends-and-family link building. Not a real strategy and reads as desperation in any link audit.
  • Web 2.0 properties for backlinks. Effectively dead since the Penguin update.
  • Geotagging images for local SEO. Too minor to warrant its own lesson at this price point.
  • Coupon codes, typo link building, round-up link building. Either too narrow, declining, or marginal in 2026.
  • HTML sitemap. Folded into a brief note inside the XML sitemap lesson.
  • Image optimization (technical-SEO version). Already covered once in Module 05. Cut to remove the redundancy.

Sales content moved off the curriculum

  • "Benefits of learning SEO" lessons. That belongs on the landing page, not inside a paid course.
  • "Who is this course for" lessons. Decision content, not skill content.

Soft skills padding

  • Generic communication, accountability, discipline lessons. Real, but not standalone SEO lessons. Cut to keep the curriculum focused on paid skill.

Admin items moved to onboarding

  • Welcome, course rules, coaching call setup, technical-issue reporting. Moved to a welcome email sequence and dashboard onboarding so the course starts with real content from Lesson 1.

The 12 modules, 122 lessons.

Each module shows the lesson list, what's new for 2026, what was kept from prior batches because it still works, and the resource that ships with it.

Project work

One real project carries through every module.

Each learner sets up a practice project in Module 02. Every module afterwards adds an assignment to that project. By Module 12, you have a documented case study you can show on LinkedIn, Upwork, and in interviews. The same case-study format is what powers the 12 client case studies on rambknows.com.

Students working through SEO project assignments at the Orka Socials Lalitpur office during a workshop.

Choose a real site, not a worksheet

Your own portfolio, a family business website, a niche site you want to grow, or a willing test client. The site has to be real because keyword research, audits, and link building only work with real data.

Module-by-module deliverables

Module 03 produces a keyword map. Module 04 ships 3 to 5 articles. Module 05 produces an on-page audit. Module 06 produces a technical audit. Module 09 produces an AEO/GEO audit. Module 10 produces a 90-day strategy document.

Case study at graduation

Module 12 walks you through documenting before-and-after metrics, SERP screenshots, and ranking changes. The output is a case study for your CV, freelance pitches, or first agency interview.

Live feedback every week

Weekly group coaching calls with Rambabu Thapa review your project work. Submit your audit, content brief, or strategy doc, get specific feedback, iterate. The feedback loop is what turns lessons into hire-ready skills.

Tools you will work with

The tools taught in the curriculum.

Free tools cover core workflows for junior and mid-level SEOs. Paid tools are taught hands-on so you know which one to reach for, what to run, and how to read the output, the way working SEOs use them. The course teaches the workflow and decisions. You bring or sign up for the tools when you need them on real client work.

Frequently asked

Curriculum questions, answered.

How many modules and lessons does the SEO curriculum cover?

The full SEO Mastery Course curriculum covers 12 modules and 122 lessons. 93 lessons are battle-tested recordings from previous batches, 22 are newly recorded for 2026, and 7 are updated supplements that reflect current platforms (HARO replaced with Connectively, Looker Studio rename, GBP refresh, schema expansion).

What is different about this curriculum compared to other Nepal SEO courses?

What is different about this curriculum is Module 09. Module 09 covers AEO, GEO, and LLMO at depth. AEO is Answer Engine Optimization for featured snippets and AI Overviews. GEO is Generative Engine Optimization for AI-generated answers. LLMO is Large Language Model Optimization for being cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity. No competing Nepal SEO course at this price covers Module 09 in production.

Are the recordings new or recycled?

The recordings are a mix of new and kept. Of 122 lessons, 22 are newly recorded for 2026 covering entity SEO, AI search, AEO, GEO, LLMO, multi-location SEO, JavaScript SEO, log file analysis, brand signals, freelance portfolio, and stakeholder presentations. 7 lessons are updated supplements. 93 lessons are kept because the underlying SEO principles still hold. The legend on every module shows which is which.

What career outcomes does this curriculum support?

The career outcomes this curriculum supports include junior SEO at a Kathmandu agency (NPR 25,000 to 40,000 per month), in-house SEO at a Nepal SaaS or e-commerce company (NPR 40,000 to 80,000 per month), freelance SEO on Upwork or direct international clients (NPR 100,000 to 300,000+ per month), and starting your own SEO agency. Module 12 covers CV preparation, freelance pricing, portfolio building, and interview prep. See the full SEO career opportunities guide for Nepal.

What tools are taught in the curriculum?

The tools taught in the curriculum include free tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Bing Webmaster, ChatGPT, Google entity tools) and paid tools you learn hands-on (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Surfer SEO, BrightLocal). The curriculum teaches the workflow and decisions. You bring or sign up for the tools when you need them on real projects.

How do the Basic and Mastery tiers map to the 12 modules?

The Basic and Mastery tiers map to the 12 modules as follows. The free Basic SEO Course is a 24-hour, 2-video YouTube training that walks through SEO foundations, keyword research, on-page SEO, technical SEO, schema, off-page SEO, Core Web Vitals, AI SEO with ChatGPT, and the career path. It is enough for a paid SEO internship or a junior agency role. The paid SEO Mastery Course covers all 12 modules including AEO/GEO/LLMO, technical SEO, link building, local SEO, auditing, reporting, and career, across 3 to 4 months with weekly live coaching and project feedback, at the early bird price of NPR 25,000 for the June 1, 2026 cohort. Returns to NPR 50,000 after this cohort fills.

Is the curriculum project-based?

Yes, the curriculum is project-based. In Module 02 every learner sets up a real practice project, either their own site or a niche site. Every assignment in Modules 03 to 12 applies to that project. By the end of the course you have a documented case study you can use in CVs, freelance portfolios, and Upwork profiles.

What is excluded from the curriculum and why?

What is excluded from the curriculum is 27 outdated lessons, because they no longer move rankings in 2026. The cuts include exact-match domain hacks, W3C code validation, text-to-HTML ratio, white-hat/black-hat taxonomy, web 2.0 properties, friends-and-family link building, and geotagging images. Sales content like "benefits of SEO" was moved to landing pages. Generic soft-skills lessons were dropped to keep the curriculum focused on paid skill.

Is it taught in Nepali or English?

Lessons are taught in Nepali with English SEO terminology explained alongside, the same format students rated 4.9 stars on 575+ Google reviews. This bridges the Nepali-language understanding with the English documentation, tools, and client communication you will work with after the course.

Where can I see the lesson-by-lesson breakdown?

You can see the lesson-by-lesson breakdown in two places. This page is the public curriculum map. The detailed 122-lesson breakdown including assignments and downloadable resources lives on rambknows.com. Message on WhatsApp for the link.
